Examples of typical application processes:
Requirement:
A customer required a pneumatically operated pump to empty tanks with a volume of 200 liters. ATEX design.
- Medium: Printing inks, varnishes and related materials used in the professional printing industry
- Immersion depth: 1000 mm
- Special requirements: Suitable for handling demanding liquids such as printing inks and varnishes
- Safety requirement: ATEX design to ensure operation in potentially explosive atmospheres
Solution:
We offered the customer the following solution in an ATEX-compliant design:
- Motor: Air motor type D600, explosion-proof ATEX Ex II 2 G c, for safe operation in potentially explosive atmospheres (item no. 520-0016)
- Pumping unit: Sealless stainless steel pumping unit DL-Niro-A-1000, which also meets the requirements of the ATEX standard and is ideal for handling printing inks and paints (item no. 691-0002)
- Accessories:
- Stainless steel hose connector, DN25 for a reliable connection (item no. 825-0012)
- Potential equalization cable that provides additional safety in ATEX areas (item no. 815-0005)
Description:
Our solution meets all requirements for emptying tanks containing printing inks and paints in potentially explosive atmospheres:
- Customer benefits:
- The stainless steel pumping unit offers chemical resistance to printing inks and paints.
- The ATEX design ensures maximum safety when used in areas where explosive atmospheres may occur.
- Flexibility:
- The immersion depth of 1000 mm makes the pump ideal for tanks up to 200 liters.
- Safety:
- The pneumatic drive prevents ignition hazards that could occur with electric drives.
- The equipotential bonding cable minimizes the risk of electrostatic discharges and increases operational safety in ATEX environments.
